A charity donation ceremony with the theme of "Handicapped people join hands to build a well-off society" was co-sponsored by China Population Welfare Foundation and Shenzhen Disabled Entrepreneurs Association on May 19 at Yitian Village Cultural Plaza, Futian District, Shenzhen City. This activity is directed by Shenzhen Disabled Persons Federation and undertaken by Shenzhen Pingjian Medical Culture Media Co., Ltd.

Wu Xiaobing, Vice Minister of Social Liaison Department of China Population Welfare Foundation, Li Shiqiang, Vice Minister of Propaganda Department, Zhao Quanping, Executive Director of China Population Welfare Fund for Disabled Persons, Song Rui, Vice Director of Shenzhen Disabled Persons Federation, Zeng Chuansheng, former Deputy Director of Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau, Huang Yingfeng, Secretary-General of Shenzhen Family Planning Association, Mao Weiping Zhao Wanxin, Secretary-General, Xie Shaoping, Chairman of Shenzhen Jiaju Public Welfare Foundation, and ten outstanding entrepreneurs with disabilities participated in the event. More than 20 enterprises, such as Shenzhen First Cable Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Fenduojing Nano-Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Guangdong Daddy Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Lijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum and so on, have made loving donations at the event site. The leaders of China Population Welfare Foundation, Shenzhen Health and Planning Commission, Shenzhen Disabled Persons Federation and Shenzhen Disabled Entrepreneurs Association have respectively given loving people and excellent people. The handicapped entrepreneurs of the show presented donation plaques and medals. There were also performances by performers with disabilities.

Representatives of the organizers of the event told reporters that there are four purposes to carry out the Day: first, to provide a platform for the disabled through the activities. Let them feel the social care for them, feel the equality, friendship and enthusiasm between people; Second, through activities to make people aware of the importance of caring for the disabled, and take this opportunity to publicize the importance of caring and encouraging the disabled; Third, while bringing the disabled laughter, understand their ideas, feel their love for life, self-improvement. Fourth, through activities to lead more Shenzhen citizens to pay attention to, care for the disabled and their families, and strive to dedicate their own love to them.

Reporters saw that the event attracted thousands of disabled people from all districts of Shenzhen, residents of Yitian Village and ordinary Shenzhen citizens who came here specially. Many of them also took part in the activities of sweeping yards and offering their love. A total of nearly three million yuan worth of donated materials and 200,000 yuan in cash were collected on the spot.
