Beautiful China in Dazhaili
Dazhai Middle School is located in Yunxian County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province, adjacent to the Lancang River. In the first final exam, He Liujiao's class was "honorably the penultimate in the county". That winter vacation, he was depressed. After learning from his bitterness, he modestly sought advice from local teachers, focusing on both quality and achievement, and mobilizing students'interest in learning by joining small activities in the classroom. He Liu also used his spare time to make up for the students'basic knowledge. By the end of the semester, the students'grades were the same as those of the local teachers' classes. After graduating from Southwest University of Finance and Economics in 2012, Yang Yue came to Dazhai Middle School. Although it takes several hours to walk on the winding mountain road, this is the best time for Yang Yue to communicate with her classmates in private. Students took Yang Yue to visit the scenic spots around their homes, such as small tree caves in the hills, grass slopes for sheep herding, elementary schools as children, and asked the teacher again and again, "Is it beautiful here?" At this time, Yang Yue has become a big sister around which students compete. During the past three years, Yang Yue visited 235 students'homes and took a family photo for each family.
Tamping: Make every project subtle
In Dazhai Middle School, Yang Yue has also done various extracurricular projects with her teammates: libraries, radio stations, Mei Dazhai scholarships, water purification system, and glasses for myopic students. When she finished teaching, Tao Qian and Luo Yueyue, the new project teachers from 2015 to 2017, came to Dazhai Middle School and reported to Dazhai Middle School, they were amazed at everything in front of them.
Yang Yue collected books through various channels, bought library management software, realized the electronic management of the library, and recruited librarians from among students. Relying on the library, Luo Yueyue joined 37 Beautiful China Education Project Schools to carry out the "Accompanied Reading Project", which brought 782 volunteers and students together. The two sides made an appointment to read a Book together. They regularly communicated with each other by telephone and letter every week to exchange their reading experience. A student wrote to the volunteers and said, "Thank you for helping me in this activity. My study was a mess at first, but I talked to you on the phone once, and I had confidence in my study. He Liuchang breathed a sigh of relief when the college entrance exam was released in July 2016. Among the students of his supporting teachers, some were admitted to Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
In July 2017, Yang Yue received the most exciting gift: her student Xiao Luo was admitted to Wuhan University, and Ajin was admitted to Southwest University of Finance and Economics, Yang Yue's Alma mater.
